Welcome
meets throughout the year in both Kentucky and Indiana, including the Lewis and Clark Cup. Orienteering is a sport
that involves navigating a set course using a specialized topographical map and a compass. It can be enjoyed by
people of all ages as a competitive cross-country race or as a recreational walk in the woods. Beginners and
newcomers are always welcome at OLOU meets. We have courses and training available to assist individuals and
families in learning how to
orienteer. Come out and join in the fun!
For more info, check out our flyer at OLOU Flyer.
Working with Orienteering USA and Kentucky State Parks, OLOU has been BUSY! Check out the new permanent Yellow orienteering course in place at Taylorsville Lake State Park. Copies of the course map are available at the park office for a nominal fee. Our plan is to have a permanent Yellow course at Rough River Dam State Park by mid September 2012, and two courses (a White and a Yellow) at Barren River State Park by 1 November 2012.
