Results, 2012 Sprint 9, Fisherman's Lake Park, 17 July 2012
Just like most of the other days this summer, it
was really hot at Fisherman’s Park for the Tuesday Evening sprint. We
had about 40 people in attendance despite the nasty weather. First back
was Helen Hagg’s protégé, Ben King. He turned in a nice time of 14:25,
2 seconds faster than Helen. One of the more interesting stories at
the meet was the route choice from of Jim Carter and Bruce Moore from 10 to 11.
They decided to cut through the tip of one of the ponds!
We had another good turn out from Eric’s UofL
class. Jeremy Walker and Audra Whitaker turned in the best times of that
group and showed promise of orienteering glory yet to come.
