that involves navigating a set course using a specialized topographical map and a compass. It can be enjoyed by
people of all ages as a competitive cross-country race or as a recreational walk in the woods. Beginners and
newcomers are always welcome at OLOU meets. We have courses and training available to assist individuals and
families in learning how to
orienteer. Come out and join in the fun!

May/June/July 2009. Sprint Series. Meet information
Series of short, easy courses held at municipal parks throughout the Louisville area. Starts: 6:30PM - 8:00PM. Fees: Members-$2; Juniors-$2; non-members-$3.
25 July 09: Mystery-0. McNeely Lake Meet information
8 August 09: Urban-0. Waterfront Park. Meet information
19 September 09: National Orienteering Day. Iroquois Park Meet information
17 October 09: Bernheim Forest. Meet Directors are Jim Carter and Rich Mazzoli.
[OLOU will not be hosting the Lewis & Clark ROGAINE this year. We expect to start it again in October 2010. Thanks for your participation in this event in previous years.]

5 December 09: Tom Wallace Lake Park. The Goat, The Junior Goat, and The Kid. Meet Director is the ole goat himself--Louie Smith.
